We were all ready for our little Jack to arrive for BYU's first game of the season, but unfortunately he is taking his time to come out. In anticipation of his arrival, we've kept his game day outfit ready to go in his crib waiting for him. Maybe next weekend he will be able to enjoy BYU's second game with his parents.
The real update from the doctor is he could come any day now. On Friday, September 11th we will see Dr. Jones again if he hasn't arrived and set up a date to induce. I'll suggest that afternoon:) So really he should be here in less than two weeks!
We are all ready for him to arrive. The past few weeks have been spent putting his room and all his gear together. Jared LOVES his second job of a handyman:)
Really everything is ready to go, and I wake up every morning disappointed that I didn't get to wake Jared up in the middle of the night to tell him, "it's time"! I find both Jared and me walking into Jack's bedroom often surveying the scene in anticipation for our little boy to occupy his new environment... if he only knew how much better life is on the outside!
So to keep ourselves busy we've been trying to enjoy some favorite pastimes. Last weekend we took in another Angel's game with seats right behind the Angel's dugout! It was an awesome game being so close. You could hear each crack of the bat and each strike hit the catcher's glove! So glad they are having a great season.
What a great time in your lives. There is nothing like having a baby. You will be so glad to finally meet "little Jack" and once you hold him in your arms you will forget all the suffering you went through to get him here and think "that wasn't so bad!" They have a way of helping your forget how miserable you were. Good job with taking a picture of your pregnant belly you will not regret it. By the way Kris, You look adorable. I am sure your are thinking...ya right, I have gain 40 pounds and I am retaining water...how could that be adorable. But it is true- you are adorable! I am sure Jared loved putting that crib together. When Joe put our crib together there were a few cuss words a flyin'! Anyways...even though you are miserable enjoy being pregnant because you will miss it. I missed Lydia kicking and moving around. In fact, for a few nights after I had Lydia I would wake up worried that she wasn't moving, but once I regained all consciousness I remembered she was in her crib fast asleep.
ReplyDeleteLets us know when the big day arrives...and Jared you better get some pictures over e-mail or the blog as soon as possible so we can see him.
I disagree with Lauren!!! (Sorry, Lauren) I never wished I was pregnant again after the baby was born and never missed it, not one bit! Pregancy, for me, was not fun but it was worth all the sacrifices and anguish because it is the one pain that has a payday in the end! You'll have something to show for all the pain and suffering! Nothing compares to the pure JOY you feel in raising children and being a mother. I am so excited for you both.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for a healthy delivery.
Steph
So you have decided on Jack!! Thats great. It is our favorite and we have been calling him Jack for quite some time! We are very excited for you two and can not wait to meet him. We are excited for grant to have a hunting buddy close to his age. It is good to hear that things are going well for you and that you are ready to bring this little baby in to this world. What a lucky little guy! Hope everyting goes well with your delivery, we will be keeping you in our prayers! And by the way, I agree with Lauren and the fact that you look so good! Being 9 months pregnant is never fun, but you look very happy and so cute.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Kris!! I had to look closely of the picture with Jared crouching down on the floor reading instructions on putting the crib together!!! I laughed at that one! It is soooo exciting to have another elk hunter! Can't hardly wait. It will be nice when it is over and he is here. I predict Monday Sept 14th!!!!
ReplyDeleteKris! You look so great. I totally forgot you were in SD when I was there. BUmmer. Well, next time I come I can hold little Jack! Best of luck these next few weeks. I'm so excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new little one! Hurry and post pictures...we can't wait to see him! So glad everyone is healthy and doing well. Can't believe my first nephew is becoming a dad. Can't believe I am old enough to be a grandma! What wonderful things life brings to us and how fresh from heaven these little ones truly are. I have to wonder how many family members were by their side when they left to come here! Congrats again!
