I'm slow to get things posted these days. No excuses... just pure laziness. I seem to enjoy my alone time when Jack naps these days. But I did not want to miss posting our big celebratory day earlier this month. It finally happened after knowing for a year. I got to "pin" my husband a Lt. Commander. We had a very small ceremony at work and then went out to breakfast at Wendy's. I know, I know... it needed more gusto than that, but when I did go out to buy things to decorate the house and dinner, CA had a major power outage that you may or may not have heard about, so we are still waiting to celebrate the big day. Here are some photos of the pinning ceremony at work though. Jared had asked his commanding officer, CAPT Jehu to lead the ceremony.
Congratulations to both of you! It's always nice when other people recognize how amazing you already know your husband is. I'm sure Jack enjoyed seeing all those Marines and being at the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteI feel so proud patriotic to think my brother is a Lt. Commander in the Navy! That is such an honor. Way to go Jared! You deserve it ALL!
ReplyDeleteI am so very proud of Jared's accomplishments as a husband, father, and as a Navy Lt. Commander!!!! Wish I could have actually seen the ceremony...maybe the next rank!
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about Jared's new assignment at the pentagon and am so impressed with his accomplishments and how far he has excelled with the navy. What a blessing in your lives and to our country. Congratulations
